Step 1 Choose a suitable site. |

Step 2 Remove the turf (60cm x 60cm) and place to one side. |

Step 3 Remove the soil to a depth of 40cm and place onto a sheet for ease. |

Step 4 Measure to confirm a 40cm depth. |

Step 5 Place the turf into the hole and chop up. |

Step 6 The chopped up turf provides added nutrients. |

Step 7 Place the tree and a stake into the hole, ensuring the stake has been placed windward side for protection. |

Step 8 Back-fill the soil, ensuring it coincides with the nursery level, as can be seen by the change of colour on the main trunk. |
